Who Is Ixchel?
Ixchel (pronounced eesh-chel) is the revered Mayan goddess of the moon, the waters,
fertility, childbirth, weaving, and healing. She is the Great Mother — a powerful creatrix who governs both life and death, light and shadow. She is the weaver of cycles, the guardian of sacred feminine wisdom, and the embodiment of intuitive power.
Her spirit dwells in the sacred land of Isla Mujeres — known as the Island of Women —where ancient priestesses once offered shells, prayers, and blood to honor her divine presence.
Ixchel is both tender and fierce. She nourishes the womb and the waters, blesses women with vision and vitality, and calls forth those ready to reclaim their inner radiance. To walk with Ixchel is to walk the spiral path — one of deep remembering, sacred release, and radiant rebirth.

A Calling Home: Syndi's Story
In 2009, during a spontaneous trip to the Yucatán, Syndi followed a quiet inner pull — one that would change her life forever. What began as a simple getaway unfolded into a profound soul activation.
She felt herself wrapped in a cocoon of joy, freedom, and protection. On the Fall Equinox at Chichén Itzá, she was brought to her knees by a powerful energy — a feeling of homecoming she couldn’t yet explain. In the months that followed, dreams and visions began to stir: the name Ixchel echoed in
meditation, and a mysterious island of women called to her spirit. Guided by intuition, Syndi booked a solo journey to Isla Mujeres, and everything changed.
Through initiations, attunements, and visions, Syndi began healing herself, reclaiming her power, and remembering her sacred path. Eventually, Goddess of Light Gatherings was born— a sacred space to help women remember their light and embody the empowered feminine.
